Army graduates 587 new soldiers after completing their military training

Santo Domingo.– The Dominican Republic Army incorporated 587 new privates after they completed their military training process at the Fernando A. Sánchez Training Battalion, during a ceremony led by the institution’s commanding general, Major General Jorge Iván Camino Pérez.

The event took place at the “16 de Agosto” Military Camp, where members of three graduating classes were recognized: 219 belonging to the third class of 2025, another 219 from the first class of 2026, and 149 corresponding to the second class of this year.

During her speech, Camino Pérez urged the new soldiers to assume their responsibilities with discipline, loyalty, and a sense of duty, while highlighting the importance of upholding the values that characterize the Dominican soldier.

The commanding general also highlighted that the training of the new privates is part of the institution’s efforts to have personnel trained and prepared to respond to the responsibilities linked to the country’s security and defense.

The ceremony was also attended by senior Army officers, including Brigadier Generals Francisco Dimas Ávalo Núñez and Rafael Antonio Núñez Veloz, deputy commander and inspector general, respectively, as well as other members of the General Staff and commanders of the institution’s main units.
