Santo Domingo. – The Senate of the Republic sent to the Public Health Commission the bill that proposes the creation of the General Directorate of Oral Health (DIGESABUC), an initiative aimed at strengthening public policies related to oral health in the Dominican Republic.
The legislative proposal is authored by Senator Lía Díaz de Díaz, who seeks to promote actions that guarantee better care, prevention, and promotion of oral health among the Dominican population.
The project will be studied by the corresponding commission, which will evaluate its scope, feasibility, and impact within the national health system, as part of the legislative process prior to a possible approval.
