According to the president of CAMACOESRD, health and wellness tourism can position the Dominican Republic as a complete destination that combines quality medical care, integral wellness, and cultural experiences, thereby contributing to sustainable economic growth and local employment, as well as the improvement of infrastructure, always with international standards, safety, and social responsibility. Pérez, who thanked the speakers for their time and contributions, advocated for investment opportunities in hospitals, private clinics, and resorts with health services, spas, aesthetic medicine, digital health, and comprehensive wellness to transcend into responsible investments and at the same time propose frameworks for action to develop a competitive and sustainable health and wellness tourism offer in the Dominican Republic.“With these presentations we are presenting the current panorama and trends in health and wellness tourism, as well as anticipating opportunities, challenges and strategies to position this country as a leading destination in this segment and, at the same time, reaffirm the vision that is held as an integral health and wellness destination”, highlighted Paco Pérez, president of the Official Chamber of Commerce of Spain in the country.
