Azua.– The Center for Teaching, Learning, and Pedagogy (CEAPE) and the Organization of Men and Women United by the Neighborhood with an Eye to the Future (OHYMUBA) recognized the senator for the province of Azua, Lía Díaz, along with other prominent figures, for her support of the Literacy Program and her commitment to strengthening education.
The legislator received the distinction as “Outstanding Collaborator of the Literacy Program”, in recognition of her permanent support and her technical and human contribution in favor of this initiative, aimed at expanding learning opportunities for youth and adults.
During the event, the organizing entities highlighted that the senator’s support has contributed significantly to transforming lives through literacy, promoting access to knowledge and strengthening the development of communities.
Also recognized at the ceremony were teacher Fior Pujols, provincial governor Minerva Navarro, and the director of the 03-01 Educational District of Azua, Marino Lebrón, for their support of the program and their commitment to promoting education and literacy in the province.
Representatives from CEAPE and OHYMUBA expressed their gratitude to the honorees, highlighting that their vocation for service, social sensitivity, and dedication constitute an example for Azuan society and an incentive to continue promoting inclusive educational initiatives.
