Santo Domingo.- The spokesperson for the National Police, Colonel Diego Pesqueira, assured that the alleged perpetrator of the shot that caused the death of the
young woman Perla Jokasta Santos Pacheco, 19 years old, will be brought to justice in the coming hours, once the
Public Ministry issues the corresponding arrest warrant.
Pesqueira indicated that the institution deeply regrets the death of Fernanda Casta Santos Manchegos, who died after receiving a gunshot wound to the head while traveling on a motorcycle on Francisco del Rosario Sánchez Avenue, in the Los Guandules sector of the National District.
According to the preliminary report, the victim was traveling with two other people: Marlene Rodríguez Jiménez Praia, 21 years old, who was driving the motorcycle, and another young woman whose identity is being kept confidential on the recommendation of the Public Ministry.
The police spokesperson explained that the investigation teams, under the 360 investigators protocol, are well advanced in the process and are following the alleged perpetrator step by step.
Likewise, he confirmed that a 45-caliber casing was found at the scene, which is in the ballistics unit of the Scientific Police, where the corresponding comparisons are being made.
Pesqueira reiterated that the National Police offers guarantees that the person responsible for this act will be arrested and brought to justice, in accordance with the law.
