DICRIM captures one of the alleged perpetrators of a homicide in Villa Mella

Santo Domingo Norte.– Agents of the Central Investigation Sub-directorate (DICRIM) arrested one of the alleged individuals responsible for the shooting death of a man, in an incident that occurred early last Wednesday in the Punta de Villa Mella sector, in this municipality.

The detainee was identified as Rigoberto Amador Encarnación, alias “Esmil”, 32 years old, identified as one of the four individuals involved in the homicide of Junior Fermín Belén, 34 years old.

According to the National Police, during the investigative process, the detainee allegedly admitted his participation in the crime. In addition, those nicknamed “Luis Bombo”, “El Balbu”, and “El Flaco” were identified as alleged accomplices, and they remain at large.

As part of the investigations, agents recovered the vehicle that was allegedly used to commit the homicide. It is a white Honda Fit car, which was seized as evidence.

According to the investigation, the victim was intercepted by the occupants of the vehicle. At that moment, one of the assailants got out of the car and pointed a firearm at him, while the others shot him multiple times, causing wounds that led to his death. Subsequently, the attackers stripped the victim of his clothing and his firearm.

The National Police reported that it maintains an active search for the other three individuals involved in order to place them at the disposal of the Public Ministry. Likewise, it urged the fugitives to turn themselves in through the means they consider appropriate to answer for the acts of which they are accused.
