The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic published the reference prices for the purchase and sale of the dollar for this Thursday, August 27, as follows:
In the Financial Entities segment, the teller exchange rate closed at RD$57.93 for purchase and RD$58.98 for sale.
Compared to a month ago (when rates averaged 57.9489 for purchase and 59.0206 for sale), the variation represented a slight appreciation of 0.02% in purchase and 0.05% in sale
In the Remittance and Exchange Agent sector, the US dollar closed the session with a rate of RD$56.89 for purchase and RD$59.52 for sale.
Compared to the rates recorded a month ago (RD$56.97 for purchase and RD$59.72 for sale), the Dominican peso appreciated by 0.13% in the purchase and 0.35% in the sale.
The foreign exchange market of the Dominican Republic continued to reflect a notable strengthening of the national currency against the US dollar.
