The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic published the reference prices for the purchase and sale of the dollar for Tuesday, September 22, as follows:
In the Financial Entities sector, the average exchange rate for the purchase and sale of the dollar stood at RD$57.37 for purchase and RD$59.83 for sale.
At the windows of Remittance and Exchange Agents, the average rate was set at RD$58.76 for purchase and RD$59.58 for sale.
The retail market for the US dollar recorded marginal increases in its average quotes during the trading session of September 21, 2026, reflecting a small depreciation of the local currency in the short term.
However, when evaluating medium and long-term performance, the national currency maintains a notable strengthening against the US dollar, accumulating an appreciation of between 6.7% and 8.0% compared to the close of 2025
