Santiago.- After remaining a fugitive for nearly a decade, National Police agents executed arrest warrant No. 987/2016 against Warlyn Manuel Núñez Salomé, alias “El Lento”, 35, accused of participating in the homicide of Leonardo Rodríguez Espinal, which occurred on February 14, 2016, on Hispanoamericana Avenue, near the Gurabito Country Club, in the Canabacoa sector of this city.
According to police investigations, Rodríguez Espinal died from multiple stab wounds received during a brawl that occurred at an establishment selling alcoholic beverages. The inquiries and testimonies gathered by investigators indicate that Núñez Salomé allegedly participated in the incident along with other individuals.

The law enforcement institution reported that the detainee has a criminal record in police files for homicide, illegal possession of a firearm, and attempted homicide, in addition to having been the subject of previously executed arrest warrants for failure to appear.
The National Police indicated that the accused will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office to continue the corresponding judicial process, while investigations related to the case continue.
