Santo Domingo. – The National Human Rights Commission filed a complaint this Thursday against the director of the State Sugar Council (CEA), Rafael A. Burgos, for alleged administrative corruption.
According to the president of this entity, Manuel María Mecedeces, a network operates within the CEA that has dispossessed thousands of people of their properties in different sectors of the country.
“This complaint is based on a series of irregularities that have been committed from that instance of the State, here are all the evidence that we are also going to deposit with the Pepca so that it urgently investigates that director,” indicated Mercedes.
He stated that people with more than 15 and 30 years of ownership of properties they had purchased from the CEA have been dispossessed.
