French MotoGP rider Johann Zarco has renewed for two seasons, until the end of 2027 with the Italian satellite team managed by Lucio Cecchinello, as confirmed by the team itself.

After two years of close collaboration with a contract as an official Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) rider, the Japanese manufacturer has recognized that Zarco and LCR represent a very competitive sports and technical team, which combines experience with solid performance for Honda.

A key element allows Johann Zarco to remain a direct HRC rider as in previous seasons, with official rider status, which guarantees him access to the same technical specifications as the official factory team, with updates and developments provided in parallel, in addition to continuing to represent the brand as an official rider in the prestigious Suzuka 8 Hours race, whose last edition he has won.

“I am very happy to confirm that I will continue at LCR for the next two years and this is important because we have big goals to achieve and great opportunities for 2027,” comments Johann Zarco in the team’s press release, in which he recalls that when he signed with Honda “at the end of 2023, I did not expect to find that second boost” that gave him “the energy to secure another two-year contract.”

“We achieved a victory with Lucio -Cecchinello- and the team, and it would be fantastic to relive that experience, so we are determined to keep fighting to achieve good results after Honda has provided great support to LCR in the last two years, and we believe that we can continue to grow and develop the bike thanks to our hard work,” adds Zarco.
