New York.– The New York Police Department (NYPD) is actively searching for Jesús Acosta, 31, identified as a suspect for his alleged connection to a double homicide that occurred in two violent incidents just two days apart at commercial establishments in Brooklyn and The Bronx. The attacks also left one person injured.
According to authorities, the first incident occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday at America’s Best Wings & Pizza, located on Rockaway Avenue, in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn. There, a 44-year-old employee was shot in the head, while another worker, 39, was wounded in the leg.
Both were transported to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where the 44-year-old man later died. Family and friends identified him as MD Yousuf. The other worker remained in stable condition, according to police reports.
The second incident occurred during the early hours of Tuesday, when an armed man entered a bodega located on East 149th Street, near Walton Avenue, in The Bronx. During the assault, a 33-year-old customer was shot in the chest and other parts of the body.
Security cameras at the establishment captured the moment the attacker entered the business, headed toward one of the people present, and opened fire. Subsequently, he allegedly took the victim’s belongings and money from the cash register before escaping.

The injured person was transported alive to Lincoln Medical Center. Although it was initially reported that his condition was stable, he later passed away due to his injuries, authorities confirmed. His identity had not been publicly released.
Double homicide under investigation
The police link Acosta to the double homicide and are keeping his photograph in circulation as part of efforts to locate him. As of this Wednesday, no arrests had been announced in connection with either of the two cases.

Acosta, wanted in connection with the double homicide, had been on parole since April, after serving nearly a decade in a state prison for a 2015 armed incident at a Harlem subway station.

According to court records cited by local media, that case occurred after an argument with a 20-year-old man on a line 2 train. The confrontation continued at the 110th Street station, where Acosta fired at the victim and wounded him in the arm. Subsequently, he pleaded guilty to assault and received an 11-year prison sentence.
Authorities described the wanted man as having several tattoos that could help identify him, including the word “Bronx” on one of his hands and “Bobby” on his left forearm.
