Santiago de Chile.- King Felipe VI of Spain recalled this Wednesday that Spain and Chile are friendly countries and expressed his wish that both work “shoulder to shoulder” in this new era that begins with the Government of the new Chilean president, the far-right José Antonio Kast.
In a toast expressed during the official meal following the handover ceremony, held today at the Cerro Castillo palace, in the coastal region of Valparaiso, the monarch wished that this new era would also serve for “the good of this beloved American continent.”
“To ask you for a toast, above all for this great nation of Chile, for its future under your mandate, for the continuity of Chilean institutions for the good of Chileans, but also for the good of this region, of this beloved region, of this beloved continent, South America, the Americas, Hispanic America, Ibero-America, Latin America, any denomination,” he affirmed.
“From Spain – the King continued – I also allow myself to commit our affection, our love, our support to all member nations, but particularly today to Chile”. The meeting of King Felipe VI with the new president of Chile.
