La Caleta councilman Jenry de los Santos is arrested by court order, the reasons for which have not yet been clarified.

Santo Domingo.– Agents of the Central Directorate of Criminal Investigations (Dicrim) arrested this Tuesday afternoon the councilman Jenry de los Santos, member of the Municipal Board of La Caleta, in the municipality of Boca Chica, in compliance with a judicial order whose content has not been revealed at the moment. According to preliminary information, the representative of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), was located inside the facilities of the La Caleta City Council when the agents proceeded to formally notify him about the order against him, after which the councilor did not resist and accompanied the members of the Dicrim in an unofficial vehicle and without specifying to which detachment or place he would be transferred.

The arrest took place during working hours and in the presence of municipal employees and other people who were at the scene, without any additional incidents being reported during the operation.
