Santo Domingo, DR. — The National Assembly of the Modern Revolutionary Youth (JRM) unanimously ratified Lía Cesarina Díaz as national vice president of that political organization for the 2026-2028 transitional period, in a process that also confirmed the continuity of its main authorities.
The decision represents a new endorsement of Díaz’s leadership within the youth structure of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), while consolidating his participation in the national leadership spaces of the JRM.
During the assembly, Carlos Valdez was also ratified as president of the JRM, and Joaquín Fernández as secretary general. Both will continue to lead the organization with the responsibility of promoting actions aimed at political training, participation, and the development of new youth leadership.
Lía Díaz’s ratification was received as recognition of her trajectory, commitment, and participation in the organization’s activities, as well as her capacity for representation within the youth structure of the ruling party.

The leader’s main challenges will include continuing to promote the participation of young people in political spaces and contributing to the strengthening of the JRM as a platform for the training and renewal of the PRM’s leadership.
The JRM National Assembly was led by Deligne Ascención Burgos, National Organization Secretary of the PRM and president of the National Internal Elections Commission (CNEI), together with Dionicio de los Santos, executive director of said commission.
With the ratification of its authorities, the JRM begins the 2026-2028 transitional period with the commitment to strengthen its organizational structure and expand youth participation in national political life.
