Mejía explained that the initiative that was born in 2021, has become a space expected by thousands of Dominican families every December. “This daughter of mine has grown a lot”, Mejía said excitedly, referring to the project, which has managed to establish itself as one of the most popular Christmas activities in the country.“More than a schedule of celebrations, this seeks to embrace and celebrate the birth of the Baby Jesus, to celebrate with family and in unity,” he expressed.

Last year, Christmas Village received more than four million visitors between the cities of Santo Domingo and Santiago. For this fourth edition, the authorities expect to surpass that figure, thanks to new attractions such as an expanded theme park and the inclusion of an interactive station of the National District Fire Department.Finally, the mayor invited all the families of the country to enjoy the light show from this Monday: “Villa Navidad is open to everyone; come and live this experience that we do with love and for the union of our people”.
