Neighborhoods in the capital enthusiastically experience the game between the Dominican Republic and South Korea

Santo Domingo. – With great excitement, citizens are in anticipation of the game between the Dominican Republic and South Korea in the World Baseball Classic.

During a tour of different neighborhoods in the capital, people are seen gathered in front of televisions in grocery stores, sidewalks, and small businesses, enjoying the game and commenting on each play of the match, in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and support for the Dominican team.

Among the fans, there is no shortage of opinions and jokes typical of the baseball environment. “In Korea, what you eat is dog… I don’t eat dog, I’m rooting for the Dominican Republic,” said one of the citizens while watching the game with other neighbors.

Others highlighted the energy of the Dominican team. “Dominican champion. The good vibes that are in that team… we are champions,” said one of the followers.

There were also those who highlighted the country’s baseball tradition: “We are the machine and the factory of baseball players. Like here in the Dominican Republic there isn’t,” commented another citizen.
