Los Ángeles. – Streaming platform Netflix confirmed the participation of actors Laura Donnelly and Michael Fassbender as the protagonists of its new drama series “Kennedy”, a production that will explore the origins and consolidation of one of the most influential families in the political history of the United States.
Michael Fassbender will play Joseph P. Kennedy Sr., patriarch of the clan, while Laura Donnelly will bring Rose Kennedy to life, a key figure in the formation and destiny of the dynasty. The series will consist of eight episodes and will set its narrative from the decade of 1930, addressing family ties, political ambitions, and the tensions that marked the rise of the Kennedy surname.
The project is produced by Chernin Entertainment and is based on the book JFK: Coming of Age in the American Century, 1917–1956, by historian Fredrik Logevall. The direction will be in charge of the Danish filmmaker Thomas Vinterberg, Oscar winner, who also serves as executive producer.

According to Netflix, the series will offer an intimate look at the family’s private life, showing how their internal relationships, achievements, and tragedies influenced their political and social impact in the 20th century.
Although the platform has not yet announced an official release date, the production is expected to reach the global audience in 2027.
