Santo Domingo. – Since his first steps with a computer and FL Studio in 2006, PitukeyWey has traveled a solid path in Dominican and international urban music. With an ear influenced by hip hop, R&B, and American rap, he has known how to translate those influences into a musical proposal that today resonates beyond his native country.
Despite the technological limitations of the 2000s in the Dominican Republic, Pitukey found in musical creation not only a passion, but a vocation. “I never had real obstacles, except for the difficulty in accessing production tools at that time. But that didn’t stop my desire to make music,” he comments.
With over a decade of experience, his signature as a producer appears behind hits that have marked the Latin urban scene, such as “Mensaje Directo” (awarded a Soberano Award and gold record by the RIAA), “Cucú” (certified platinum record), “Por Mujeres Como Tú” (Shadow Blow Feat Lápiz), “Oh Oh” (Shadow Blow), “27 Mensajes” (Shadow Blow Feat Lápiz) and “Hell” & “Redi” (Eklectico)
He has worked with a wide range of artists, both Dominican and international, including: Shadow Blow, Lápiz Conciente, Melymel, Monkey Black, Eklectico, NTG, Juan Magán, French Montana, Bryant Myers, J Alvarez, Zion, Jon Z, Juhn, Miky Woodz, TYS, Tivi Gunz, Fuego, Valentino, Nio Garcia, Secreto El Famoso Biberón, Messiah, Black Jonas Point, Mark B, Gigolo y la Exce, De La Ghetto, among others.
Beyond his credits in high-caliber productions, Pitukey Wey has also been a reference and motivator for new talents. During the pandemic, he stood out for organizing Beatmakers Battles on Instagram Live, an initiative that gave visibility to dozens of emerging producers and ignited a spark of motivation in the midst of the global crisis.
Among his most recent works are: “Mi Velocidad” – Lápiz Conciente feat. Eklectico (Azul, Blanco y Rojo album), “Gangsta Shorty” – NTG Feat French Montana, “Fantasia” – NTG, “Toto” – Shadow Blow (Flores EP), “Piña” – Shadow Blow (Flores EP) and “Detone” – Shadow Blow (Flores EP).
Today, Pitukey Wey projects his vision on a global scale. His goal is to continue evolving, collaborate with artists from diverse cultures, and export his distinctive sound from the Dominican Republic to the whole world.
