Santiago.- The National Police reported this Monday that they have identified and are conducting an intense search for Erinson Manuel Hernández Reyes, alias “El Gordo,” identified as the alleged perpetrator of the shooting death of Danny Acevedo Mota, known as “El Mono,” in an incident that occurred in front of a park in the Ensanche Bolívar sector, in this city.
According to the preliminary report, the crime occurred during an armed confrontation, when the alleged assailant arrived at the scene and opened fire on Acevedo Mota, who, according to investigations, allegedly responded with a firearm he was carrying.
The authorities indicated that the investigations point to the fact that both were involved in personal conflicts due to alleged romantic motives, a situation that would have triggered the exchange of gunfire.
After being wounded, Acevedo Mota was rushed to a health center, where he passed away while receiving medical attention. Subsequently, his body was sent to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) for the corresponding procedures.

The Police specified that Hernández Reyes remains a fugitive and that, upon being cleared in institutional records, he appears with a criminal record and had recently been brought to justice for other incidents.
In coordination with the Public Ministry, investigators are continuing proceedings to fully clarify the circumstances of the homicide, locate the firearm allegedly carried by the victim, and capture the suspect to bring them to justice.
The authorities urged Erinson Manuel Hernández Reyes, alias “El Gordo”, to turn himself in through the means he considers appropriate, while they maintain operations to locate his whereabouts.
