Higüey, La Altagracia. The National Police reported that it is maintaining a search operation to locate three men identified as the alleged perpetrators of an armed attack that occurred in the Los Soto sector, in the municipality of Higüey, where a teenager lost his life and another minor was injured.
The spokesperson for the La Altagracia Regional Directorate of the institution, Jhovinson Manuel González, identified those wanted as Yordy, known as “El Peluquero”; Peterson Pantaleón, alias “Sonson”; and a man identified only as Leifel.
According to the preliminary report, 17-year-old Yordany Santana died in the incident as a result of multiple gunshot wounds. Meanwhile, another minor was injured and remains under medical care, with authorities not yet having officially revealed their identity.

Investigations point to the attack being related to long-standing personal conflicts between those involved, although the circumstances under which the event occurred remain under investigation.
