The Export and Investment Center of the Dominican Republic (ProDominicana) announced its participation in the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) 2026, one of the main global stages for tourism, commercial and investment promotion, to be held in Madrid, Spain, from January 21 to 25.
In the framework of this important international fair, the executive director of ProDominicana, Biviana Riveiro Disla, will develop a strategic agenda of meetings with representatives from various sectors starting on the 20th, including tourism, services, investment, and commerce, with the aim of continuing to position the Dominican Republic as a competitive, reliable, and diversified destination for foreign direct investment and business development.
ProDominicana’s participation in FITUR 2026 seeks to continue strengthening strategic alliances, identify new investment opportunities, and promote the country’s comparative advantages in key sectors, in line with the vision of sustainable development and economic growth promoted by the Dominican Government.
Likewise, these meetings will allow to present the country’s progress in terms of investment climate, legal security, infrastructure, connectivity and human capital, as well as explore new opportunities in emerging areas such as health tourism, the service economy and innovation.
