Provincial Director of Health participates in the 182nd anniversary of National Independence

La Romana.— With the participation of civil, military, educational, and community authorities, Dr. Carmen Jiménez, provincial director of Public Health (DPS) of La Romana, participated this Friday, the 27th, in the commemorative acts of the 182nd anniversary of the National Independence of the Dominican Republic.

During the commemoration, the authorities highlighted the legacy of the founding fathers and reaffirmed the commitment of present and future generations to preserve the sovereignty, identity, and values that gave rise to the Dominican nation. Carmen Jiménez expressed that this act not only served to remember one of the most transcendental events in national history, but also to renew patriotic love and civic responsibility for the development, peace, and progress of the country.

In the activity were present the provincial governor, Ivelisse Mercedes Méndez; the mayor, Eduardo Kery Metivier; Guillermo Núñez Rosario, director of the Educational District 05-03; General Wandy Madé Montilla, Eastern regional director of the National Police; Dolores Núñez, director of COAAROM; Tury Reyes, director of the municipal district of Caleta; as well as councilors and other authorities and representatives of civil society.
