Santo Domingo.– The Public Prosecutor’s Office filed a request this Monday for a coercive measure consisting of pretrial detention against the woman accused of causing the death of her 10-year-old daughter, in an incident that occurred last Saturday in the Batey Bienvenido sector, in the municipal district of Manoguayabo.
The request was filed while investigations into the case are ongoing and authorities are conducting the corresponding evaluations to determine the mental health status of the accused and establish the circumstances that may have led her to commit the act.
The process is part of the proceedings being carried out by the prosecuting body to clarify what happened and define the corresponding criminal responsibilities.

So far, the Public Prosecutor’s Office has not offered further details regarding the preliminary results of the investigation or the date on which the coercive measure will be heard.
