Santo Domingo.– The Social Policy Cabinet formally launched the traditional Christmas Brisita in the country’s hospitals and patronages, a day that seeks to bring joy, closeness and well-being to patients, collaborators and communities in this special time of year. The opening was led by the coordinator of the Social Policy Cabinet, Tony Peña, through the Health Directorate headed by Dr. Guillermo Moringlane, thus beginning the national deployment of activities and deliveries for Christmas.

As part of the initial day, representatives and directors from important health centers and service institutions participated, including:

During the event, the Cabinet highlighted that these visits are part of its social and humanitarian accompaniment mission, reinforcing the Dominican government’s commitment to the most vulnerable sectors and to the institutions that provide essential care to thousands of citizens. Tony Peña expressed that the Christmas Breeze constitutes “a gesture of solidarity that every year brings hope, closeness, and humanization to those who need it most”, also highlighting the coordinated work with health centers and patronages to ensure a positive impact throughout the country. The Social Policy Cabinet will continue over the coming weeks developing Christmas activities and deliveries in hospitals, patronatos and vulnerable communities nationwide.
