Oslo. A court in the Norwegian capital ruled this Monday that Marius Borg Høiby, son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit, must remain under house arrest with electronic monitoring while the appeal against the four-year prison sentence imposed on him for rape, abuse, and other crimes is being considered.
The decision was adopted by the Oslo District Court, which authorized the transfer of Høiby from the high-security Ila prison, on the outskirts of the city, to his residence, where he must serve the measure with an electronic monitoring device.
As reported by the Norwegian public broadcaster NRK, the accused will remain in the custody of the authorities during the judicial process, although he will no longer be held in the penitentiary center.
