Puerto Plata. – The paternal grandfather of the girl Briana Genao Rosario, who has been missing since December 31, 2025, confirmed on Friday night that the two uncles who were listed as suspects in the case were released by the authorities. Braulio González reported that during today he went to the North Regional Directorate of the National Police, in Puerto Plata, where he received the official notification that Rafael Rosario Núñez, 52 years old, and Reyes Rosario Núñez, 43, had been released on Thursday night, after concluding the preliminary investigations against them. According to González, the authorities explained to him that, so far, there were not enough elements to directly link both men to the disappearance of the three-year-old infant, so their release was ordered in accordance with the law.

However, the minor’s grandfather reiterated the call to the authorities to continue deepening the investigations and not rule out any line of investigation, while expressing the anguish and despair that the family is experiencing due to the lack of information about the girl’s whereabouts. The National Police is actively searching for Briana Genao Rosario and has assured that the case is still under investigation, urging anyone with relevant information to cooperate with the authorities to find the whereabouts of the minor.
