Puerto Plata.– A woman was arrested by National Police agents in this city after being accused of committing gender-based violence against her romantic partner and subsequently assaulting members of a patrol that arrived at the scene after receiving a report.
n” “nThe detainee was identified as Elbia de los Santos Sosa, who will be placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry for the corresponding legal purposes. According to the preliminary report, the woman allegedly physically and verbally assaulted her partner, identified as José Rafael Díaz, who alerted the authorities through a phone call.
n” “nThe incident occurred on Comandante Horacio Ornes Coiscou Street, formerly 26 de Agosto, in the San Felipe de Puerto Plata municipality. After receiving the report, a police patrol arrived at the scene to intervene in the situation and verify the reported facts.

The institution indicated that the woman hurled insults at the uniformed officers and even physically assaulted one of them during the procedure.
