The San Juan Plan Commission assumes the responsibility of leading the regional economic transformation through the strategic approval of infrastructure projects and inter-institutional agreements, always ensuring compliance with public procurement regulations. Its work focuses on diversifying the productive matrix and coordinating the execution of critical works, such as irrigation systems, collection centers, and warehouses in free trade zones, which are fundamental for sustaining local economic activity. Likewise, this body acts as a link between the public and private sectors to facilitate linkages that generate employment and strengthen regional human capital. Through the channeling of seed capital and technical assistance, the Commission directly supports ventures and small producers, encouraging their integration into cooperatives and clusters. Finally, its management is consolidated through the promotion of strategic commercial alliances and the periodic submission of progress reports to the Presidency of the Republic.Executive Direction
Meanwhile, the Executive Directorate of the San Juan Plan Commission will be responsible for carrying out the necessary technical coordination so that the projects approved by the San Juan Plan Commission are executed within the agreed schedule; administer the funds allocated to the execution of the actions and activities approved by the San Juan Plan Commission; coordinate the formulation of policies derived from the San Juan Plan Commission, as well as the definition and execution of the initiatives, programs and projects that are considered necessary to achieve the expected results. Similarly, you must coordinate technical assistance, financing, post-harvest management, and marketing to be implemented in each of the intervened farms; create and maintain a georeferenced record of each of the intervened production units; supervise the execution and fulfillment of the tasks planned within the framework of the Plan and maintain accounting records of the expenses incurred within the framework of the Plan. Finally, it must also hire the natural and legal persons required for the performance of its functions and the tasks entrusted to them, in accordance with the provisions of the corresponding laws; supervise the proper use of the transportation equipment and work machinery assigned to the execution of the Plan and submit quarterly reports to the San Juan Plan Commission on the progress of its implementation.
