Santo Domingo.- Air operations at Las Américas International Airport, José Francisco Peña Gómez (AILA), are proceeding normally this Tuesday, July 21, following the flight cancellations recorded over the weekend due to adverse weather conditions that affected the northeastern United States.
Passengers were boarding their flights as usual, with no issues reported related to the disruptions that occurred between July 18 and July 20.

During that period, AERODOM reported that 18 operations were canceled at AILA, of which 10 corresponded to arrival flights and eight to departures, mainly from the airlines JetBlue Airways, Delta Air Lines, and Arajet.
The cancellations affected flights originating from and destined for John F. Kennedy (JFK) and Newark Liberty (EWR) airports in the New York metropolitan area. Likewise, some operational rotations to Boston, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, and San Juan, Puerto Rico, also suffered disruptions as a result of the meteorological phenomenon.
With the improvement of weather conditions, operations were restored and this Monday the flow of passengers and flight boarding are proceeding with total normality at the air terminal.
