De Camps, Collado, Estrella, Paliza, and Aguilera top the honesty and transparency ranking in 2025

Santo Domingo. – Ministers Luis Miguel De Camps (Education), David Collado (Tourism), Eduardo Estrella (Public Works), and José Ignacio Paliza (Minister of the Presidency), along with the executive president of Banco de Reservas, Leonardo Aguilera, top the ranking of the five officials with the highest level of honesty and transparency in the Dominican Republic during 2025, according to a national survey conducted by the firm Sondeos. The study places these officials in the top positions of positive evaluation, reflecting a favorable citizen perception regarding their public conduct, institutional management, and performance in their respective areas of responsibility.

In the case of Leonardo Aguilera, the measurement places him among the best evaluated, highlighting his management at the head of the Banco de Reservas, the main financial entity of the country, in a context marked by high demands of trust, stability, and institutional solidity. The survey is part of a broader evaluation of public management during 2025, which analyzed, among other aspects, the levels of honesty, transparency, and efficiency of ministers, general directors, and heads of strategic State bodies. The results indicate that the economic and services areas concentrate a significant part of the highest ratings, in a scenario where citizens maintain high expectations about government performance.

The study was conducted by the firm Sondeos through 100% in-person interviews, with a sample of 1,300 people nationwide. The information gathering took place between December 20 and 23, 2025, covering various age ranges, educational levels, and geographical areas of the country. The polling company is known for its high levels of accuracy in previous electoral processes and public opinion studies. These results add to other opinion indicators that, throughout the year, have highlighted the importance of transparency, accountability, and institutional credibility as determining factors in strengthening citizen trust in public administration.
