The family submitted requests for support to various institutions in the country and so far none have responded
Santo Domingo.- Every received stamp, reception code, and official record represents a hope placed in institutions that, in their speeches, promote support for education, sports, and Dominican youth. However, after months of efforts, the answers have yet to arrive.
The story follows a Dominican student who obtained a partial athletic scholarship to attend Fisher College, in Boston, United States. Thanks to that opportunity, he was able to begin his university education, although his family had to go into debt and make significant financial sacrifices to cover the first academic terms.
Today, that dream is at risk. Not because of a lack of talent, discipline, or good academic performance, but because of the impossibility of covering the financial gap that the university requires to continue their studies.
With the intention of finding a solution, the family submitted requests for support to various institutions, including the Presidency of the Republic, Banreservas, the Ministry of Sports, and the Ministry of Youth, in addition to other public and private entities.
All communications were received and recorded in accordance with established procedures. However, after several months of waiting, none of the requests have received a favorable response.
