Man implicated in death in Santiago arrested after being deported from the United States

Santiago.- The National Police, through its Criminal Investigations Division (DICRIM) in Santiago, arrested Anaudi Rafael Reyes González, 43 years old, required by arrest warrant No. 2024-AJ0034209 for his alleged involvement in the death of Ramón Fabián Almánzar Capellán, which occurred on December 1, 2024.

According to the police report, the incident took place in the El Ejido sector, during an alleged fight motivated by old personal grudges. During the altercation, Almánzar Capellán, 46 years old, died from stab wounds. In the same event, Wilfride Jesús Pérez Valerio, 30 years old, was injured. Pérez Valerio was identified as one of the main people involved in the fight, along with his uncle, Anaudi Rafael Reyes González, who would have left the country after the incident.

Following his deportation on July 8, 2025, Reyes González was handed over to the Dominican authorities and taken to the headquarters of the Criminal Investigations Division in Santiago. The accused will be brought before the court in the coming hours to answer for the charges against him.
