The meeting between Abinader and Trump takes place in a context of strengthening bilateral relations between the Dominican Republic and the United States, the country’s main trading partner and strategic ally in terms of investment, security, migration, and economic cooperation.Although the specific points of the bilateral agenda have not been detailed, both leaders are expected to discuss key issues for the region, as well as cooperation and development initiatives.
In addition to this meeting in the United States, President Abinader will develop an international agenda during the month of March that will include official visits to Chile and France, where he will also hold bilateral meetings and participate in multilateral forums.
