Police spokesperson goes to the Naco detachment; statements are expected regarding the arrest of journalist Edward Ramírez

Santo Domingo.– The spokesperson for the National Police, Diego Pesqueira, is currently at the detachment of Ensanche Naco, in the National District, where journalist Edward Ramírez was located, after being reported missing since Wednesday night. Ramírez, who works for the newspaper El Nuevo Diario, was not heard from until this Friday it was confirmed that he was being held at the police station. The presence of the spokesperson generates expectation, as official statements are expected regarding the reasons for the detention and why their family members or the media were not previously informed about their whereabouts.
