Public Ministry denies having questioned Antonio Espaillat about Jet Set tragedy
Santo Domingo.– A source from the National District Attorney’s Office denied this Wednesday that the businessman Antonio Espaillat had been interrogated by the Public Ministry in relation to the tragic collapse of the roof of the Jet Set nightclub, which left a balance of 237 dead and more than 150 injured.
The version offered contradicts the statements made by journalist Iluminada Muñoz, who stated that Espaillat had been questioned on at least five occasions by the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic (PGR). According to the source, neither the National District Prosecutor’s Office nor the Prosecution Directorate of the Public Ministry, headed by magistrate Wilson Camacho, have summoned Espaillat.
