During a tour conducted by the Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza, of the land where the Ciudad Presidente Antonio Guzmán will be built in Santiago, he highlighted that this initiative is part of a new national approach to promote organized urban growth and quality of life.

In its first stage, the project contemplates the construction of 8,000 homes intended to house approximately 50,000 people, with the possibility of expansion to reach between 10,000 and 12,000 housing units, according to the availability of additional land.

To this end, the VBC-RD Trust has allocated an initial investment of one billion pesos in infrastructure works, which will be complemented by a private investment projected at more than RD$24,000 million for the development of housing and commercial areas.

“Ciudad Antonio Guzmán no solo ofrecerá viviendas asequibles, sino también centros educativos, atención primaria, espacios comerciales, planta de tratamiento, estaciones de seguridad, un parque ecológico y calles con redes sanitarias y de agua potable. Es una ciudad pensada para mejorar la vida de toda la comunidad”,

resaltó el viceministro de Proyectos de Inversión y director del Fideicomiso VBC-RD, Camel Curi Lora

As part of the key works to enable access to the project, the company Ingenieros Constructores Asociados, SRL began this month the works corresponding to section 2 of the main road, which includes 1.2 kilometers of asphalted streets with sidewalks, curbs and potable water, sanitation and rainwater drainage networks. This intervention, with an investment of RD$158 million, will be executed in an estimated period of eight months, in coordination with the fiduciary of the Banco de Reservas.
Ciudad Presidente Antonio Guzmán represents a new vision of a city in the Dominican Republic that is equitable, planned, and with services that promote human development. With the leadership of the Government and the support of the VBC-RD Trust, this project will mark a before and after in the urban expansion of Santiago, consolidating a model that bets on inclusive, sustainable cities designed for the whole family.
