Santo Domingo, RD – Singer-songwriter Pavel Núñez and the group Transfusión kicked off their “Pop Culture” proposal in style at the Hard Rock Café Santo Domingo, the setting for the official launch of this initiative that seeks to highlight the best of Dominican music, with a concept of duets where artists can coexist in this new musical ecosystem. The project brings together Pavel Núñez with the actor and singer Héctor Aníbal, leader of the emblematic group Transfusión, with the intention of projecting and promoting local performers.

Before a diverse and enthusiastic audience, “Pop Culture” began with the presentation of Transfusión, composed of Héctor Aníbal Estrella (lead vocals), Rigo Zapata (founder, director, and bassist), Alfio Lora, and Jean Pimentel. The group marked its official return to the stage with a dynamic show in which they performed hits from more than 20 years of experience, in addition to previewing new recordings that are part of this new stage in their career.

During his first words, Héctor Aníbal thanked the public for their support and expressed his enthusiasm for this project, highlighting that this will be the first of several musical encounters. Likewise, he confirmed that this concert represents the official return of the group, which goes hand in hand with their recent release after 25 years of not releasing unreleased songs “Vamos’ a Fluír”.

“This is Pop Culture. It’s a pleasure to have you here. We are Transfusión and we’re back, for real: recording songs and everything,” he expressed.

The band performed songs like “Yo me doy”, “Déjame seguirte”, “Vamo’ a fluir”, “Dulce mujer”, “Tú sigues siendo todo”, “Noche de leyenda”, “El pasito” and “Me late”, among others.

Subsequently, Pavel Núñez was invited to the stage, where, along with Héctor Aníbal, he performed as a duo emblematic songs of Transfusión such as “Mujer, mujer” and “Quiero salir contigo esta noche”, generating an emotional journey to the past for the fans and even for figures of Dominican entertainment who were present on that great night, including the prominent singer Adalgisa Pantaleón, the actors Kenny Grullón, Irving Alberti and the communicator Zoila Luna. Then, Pavel Núñez continued with his presentation alongside his band, El Corredor de la 27, performing hits such as “Canción de cuna”, “Betania”, “Paso a paso”, “Marola”, “Santiago de frente”, “Viene gente”, “Agonizando”, “Soñar despierto”, “Qué será de ti” and closing with his acclaimed song “Te di”.

The show featured a large display of special effects and lights at the production level, which enriched the stage proposal, this under the production of Fiora Cruz Carretero. In addition, the special participation of the artist King Plaza stood out, who opened the night as a supporting act.

Plans to Bring Pop Culture to Santiago de los Caballeros and Other US Venues

The evening was filled with memories, good music, and reunions. According to Pavel Núñez and Héctor Aníbal, the “Pop Culture” project plans to be presented in Santiago de los Caballeros and in cities in the United States such as New York, on dates that will be announced soon. In addition, plans for other editions with other protagonists were advanced, with some duos such as Maridalia Hernández and Laura Rivera, and Adalgisa Pantaleón and Techy Fatule being mentioned.
