Rescue teams reported detecting signs of life from two teenagers early Wednesday in La Guaira, Venezuela, nearly a month after they became trapped.

According to reports, the signs were detected 29 days into the search operation, as rescuers and volunteers continued working through mountains of rubble, twisted metal, and hand-dug tunnels in hopes of finding survivors.

Family members have remained at the site throughout the search, holding onto hope as rescue efforts continue.

“Dios está al control” (“God is in control”), relatives said as crews pressed on with the operation.

Authorities have not yet released additional information on the condition of the two teenagers or whether a rescue has been completed.
