Santo Domingo.— The Dominican Republic continues to reaffirm its leadership in Major League Baseball, having ten finalist players for the Silver Slugger 2025, an award given by Louisville Slugger to the best offensive player by position in each league.
In the American League, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (1B), Jorge Polanco (2B), Junior Caminero (3B), José Ramírez (3B), Jeremy Peña (SS) and Julio Rodríguez (OF) are listed. Meanwhile, in the National League, Ketel Marte (2B), Manny Machado (3B), Geraldo Perdomo (SS) and Juan Soto (OF) were nominated.
From this group, José Ramírez is seeking his sixth Silver Slugger, while Junior Caminero, Polanco, Peña, and Perdomo could achieve the distinction for the first time.
The National League winners will be announced on November 6 at 6:00 p.m. (ET), and those of the American League on November 7 at the same time, on the broadcast The Baseball Insiders via YouTube.
The managers and coaches of each league are in charge of the voting, considering offensive statistics such as batting average, OPS, home runs, RBIs, and total bases, in addition to the player’s overall impact on the lineup.
