San Pedro de Macorís — With enthusiasm and full confidence in his team’s potential, manager Fernando Tatis assured that the goal of the Estrellas Orientales in the 2025-2026 season of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM) goes beyond the local championship: it aims to conquer the Caribbean Series, which will be held in Venezuela.

“The goal is the Caribbean Series. This season we are going there,” Tatis declared without hesitation during the first day of full squad workouts at the Tetelo Vargas Stadium, after a week of optional preparation in the so-called Early Camp. The green leader highlighted the early response from a large part of the team’s core: “Today we sent a clear message: this team is preparing for something big. We have all the tools to be champions.” Among the players already integrated into the camp are starting pitchers Enny Romero, Esmil Rogers, Oscar de la Cruz and the imported Sean Nolin, in addition to experienced relievers such as Neftalí Féliz, Pedro Strop, Jhan Maríñez, Gerónimo Franzuá and Román Méndez. In the offensive area, Tatis has the presence of Miguel Sanó, outfielder Magneuris Sierra and catchers Francisco Peña and Carlos Martínez, whose integration he valued for the importance of early communication between pitchers and catchers. The manager announced that key players are still missing to join, such as “Eguy Rosario” and “Vidal Bruján”, but expressed full confidence that the team will be ready to overcome the challenges of the campaign. After winning the 2024-2025 Regular Season with a 30-20 record and reaching three consecutive finals without achieving the championship, the Stars seek to take the definitive step that will lead them to win the national title and represent the country in the Caribbean classic. “We almost have everything we need to be champions,” concluded Tatis, projecting a clear goal: to take the green flag to the top in the Caribbean Series 2025.
