Game between Gigantes and Águilas was rescheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Julián Javier
San Francisco de Macorís. – The Gigantes del Cibao will receive the Águilas Cibaeñas tonight at the Julián Javier stadium, in a new match corresponding to the Round Robin of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM) championship.
This will be the third clash between both teams in the current semifinal phase, after the Eagles prevailed in the two previous commitments, both defined in extra innings, with scores of 10-6 and 8-7.
The match, which was originally scheduled to start at 5:00 PM because it was a holiday, was rescheduled for 7:00 PM due to reasons beyond the teams’ control. An accident that occurred near the Julián Javier stadium caused problems with the electrical power poles, a situation that is currently being resolved.
In the mound aspect, the Gigantes del Cibao announced right-hander Shane Greene as their starting pitcher, while the Águilas Cibaeñas will send right-hander Osvaldo Bidó to the box.
