The absence of Rojas comes after reports indicating that the outfielder of the
Philadelphia Phillies tested positive for a performance-enhancing substance, a situation that would prevent him from participating in the event and could lead to a sanction by Major League Baseball.
According to information from international baseball specialists, Rojas did not show up with the rest of the Dominican roster when the team began its concentration, which raised questions about his availability for the tournament.
