Santo Domingo.- The Dominican visual artist Rosario Marrero, based in France, where she works as a teacher and has developed an outstanding artistic career, will present the exhibition “Ancestral Heritage” in Santo Domingo, a proposal that invites the public to explore cultural roots, collective memory, and Afro-Caribbean identity through art.
The exhibition will be open to the public from August 5 to 19, 2026, at Quinta Dominica, located at 202 Padre Billini Street, Colonial City, becoming a meeting space between contemporary art and the historical heritage of the Dominican Republic.
Under the title “Ancestral Heritage”, Rosario Marrero presents a collection of works that explore memory, freedom, and Afro-Caribbean heritage through a combination of vibrant colors, symbolism, and figures that evoke the cultural richness of the region and the legacy of her ancestors.
