Santo Domingo.– Santo Domingo Motors, representative of the Suzuki brand in the Dominican Republic, presented the new Suzuki Vitara Across, a sport utility vehicle (SUV) that incorporates mild-hybrid technology, advanced driver assistance systems, and a higher level of comfort, with the goal of strengthening the brand’s offering in one of the fastest-growing segments of the automotive market.
The launch took place at the Santo Domingo Motors showroom, located on John F. Kennedy Avenue, with the participation of clients, business partners, and company executives, including Alexis Anselin, member of the Board of Directors; Marielly Figueroa, Commercial and After-sales Director; and Vicente Chuan, Senior Commercial Manager of Suzuki.

During the presentation, Chuan highlighted that the new Vitara Across responds to the needs of consumers looking for a vehicle with greater efficiency, connectivity, safety, and comfort, without sacrificing the quality and reliability that characterize the Japanese brand.
The new model is equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine that develops 103 horsepower and 137 Nm of torque, complemented by the 12-volt SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) intelligent mild-hybrid system, which provides an additional boost during starting and acceleration, while optimizing fuel consumption without the need for external charging.

In terms of technology, the Vitara Across incorporates a 10.25-inch digital dashboard, a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen with wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a Head-Up Display system, which projects driving information directly into the driver’s field of vision.
The equipment also includes an Infinity premium sound system with eight speakers and a subwoofer, LED ambient lighting, ventilated and leather-upholstered front seats, power adjustment for the driver’s seat, a wireless charger for mobile devices, a panoramic sunroof, and hands-free tailgate opening.
Regarding safety, the SUV incorporates six airbags and a package of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which includes autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning and assistance, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, and an electronic parking brake with Auto Hold function.

For those who require better off-road performance, the all-wheel drive version incorporates the AllGrip (4WD) system with four driving modes: Auto, Snow, Sport, and Lock.
The new Suzuki Vitara Across will be available at all Santo Domingo Motors branches and the authorized dealer network in the country in three versions: GL 2WD, priced at US$27,995; GLX 2WD, for US$29,995; and GLX 4WD, for US$33,995.
With this launch, Santo Domingo Motors seeks to consolidate Suzuki’s presence in the SUV segment, expanding its vehicle offering with technologies oriented towards efficiency, safety, and sustainable mobility.
