Dajabón and Valverde. – Members of the Dominican Republic Army, belonging to the 4th Infantry Brigade, arrested 37 Haitian nationals in an irregular migratory condition, during operations carried out in locations in the provinces of Dajabón and Valverde.
Soldiers of the Dominican Republic Army (ERD) stationed for service at the Inspectorate of Loma de Cabrera, Dajabón, intercepted a group of twenty-six (26) undocumented Haitian nationals, composed of nineteen (19) men, seven (07) women, and two (02) minors, who were attempting to evade the security devices in the area.
While in the Pueblo Nuevo sector, Mao municipality, Valverde province, another patrol of the institution detained eleven (11) undocumented Haitians, including five (05) men, five (05) women, and one (01) minor.
The detainees were transferred under military custody to the headquarters of the 10th Infantry Battalion of the ERD, in Dajabón and to the 4th Infantry Brigade, ERD, in Mao, respectively, for the corresponding legal purposes.
