He recalled that the Dominican Republic knows firsthand the effects of foreign intervention and that, in critical moments such as the 1965 invasion, it was precisely the solidarity of the Latin American peoples that supported the Dominican cause in defense of its independence.“By excluding these brotherly peoples, the Dominican government is turning its back on national sovereignty and betraying the tradition of integration, mutual respect, and self-determination that we have defended in the most difficult moments of our history,” said Maria Teresa Cabrera, President of the Frente Amplio.

The FA called on all popular, democratic, and progressive forces in the country to raise a clear and forceful voice against this exclusionary policy, which weakens the spirit of hemispheric integration and denies the possibility of a truly inclusive dialogue.Likewise, the Broad Front reiterated its commitment to the defense of sovereignty, regional integration, and the self-determination of peoples, ensuring that it will remain firm in articulating a political and social response that represents the dignity of the Dominican majority.“The feeling of our people is not one of servile obedience, but of dignity and self-determination. The Dominican Republic must be an example of sovereignty and solidarity, not of subordination to foreign interests,” Cabrera emphasized.
