Santo Domingo.– The Dominican Republic continues to expand its harvest of medals at the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026, following the outstanding performance of judoka Maikor Louis, who won the bronze medal in the -73 kilogram category.
With this result, the Dominican athlete adds a new achievement for the national delegation and reaffirms the great moment that Dominican judo is experiencing at the regional multi-sport event.
The Ministry of Sports and Recreation (Miderec) congratulated the competitor on their performance and highlighted that this medal represents the effort, discipline, and commitment of the athletes who represent the country in the Central American and Caribbean Games.
The medal won by Louis strengthens the performance of the Dominican delegation, which continues to accumulate successes in different disciplines and fueling the aspirations of achieving an outstanding performance in the sporting event being held in Santo Domingo.
