In that sense, the proposal seeks to position the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico as complementary destinations within the Caribbean. The minister specified that the investment will be shared equally: $500,000 provided by the Dominican Republic and $500,000 by Puerto Rico. As a gesture of cooperation, Puerto Rico assumed the creative development of the campaign, which is now completed and ready for implementation. “This is an innovation for tourism in the Caribbean and Latin America. We are creating a new tourism product that will allow European travelers to experience two destinations in a single experience,” he said. The initiative marks a strategic advance in regional tourism integration, and reinforces the Dominican Republic’s leadership in promoting alliances that expand the offer and reach of Caribbean tourism in the main international markets. Collado offered the statements while providing details about the Dominican Republic’s participation in FITUR 2026, which yielded historic results that reinforce its tourism leadership and attractiveness for international investment.
