Gazan brigades denounce the death of one of their commanders at the hands of Israel

The Naser Salah al Din Brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Resistance Committees in Palestine, denounced on Monday the death of one of its commanders in an attack perpetrated by the special forces of the Israeli Army in the central area of Gaza. This is Commander Waseem Abdul Basit Abdul Hadi (Abu al Abd) who, according to the brigades’ statement, “was one of the most prominent leaders and founders of the Ahfad al Naser groups” and “played a fundamental role in numerous jihadist operations.” This Monday, the Israeli Army also killed a man in the Beit Lahia area, in the northwest of Gaza and controlled by Israeli forces, and two other people – including a girl – in an attack in the Shujaiya neighborhood in the east of the Gazan capital, where the ‘yellow line’ of troop withdrawal runs.

Sources from Al Awda hospital also reported an Israeli airstrike in Khan Yunis (south of the Gaza Strip) that has resulted in two injuries, a father and his daughter. Practically every day, Palestinian deaths or injuries are recorded due to fire from Israeli troops in Gaza, who shoot at those who approach the yellow zone, more than half of the Strip now controlled by Israel. Since the ceasefire came into effect on October 10th, Israel has killed more than 260 Palestinians, including around fifty children, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health count.
